The Maserati GranCabrio Foglore doesn’t offer pretensioners.

The Continental GT’s pre-crash front seatbelts will tighten automatically in the event the vehicle detects an impending crash, improving protection against injury significantly. The GranCabrio Foglore doesn’t offer pre-crash pretensioners.

The Bentley Continental GT has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. These airbags help prevent the driver and front passenger from sliding under their seatbelts or the main frontal airbags; this keeps them better positioned during a collision for maximum protection. Knee airbags also help keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The GranCabrio Foglore doesn’t offer knee airbags.

The Continental GT has standard front and rear seat side-impact airbags and head airbags, which act as a forgiving barrier between the passengers and the door. Combined with high-strength steel door beams this system increases protection from broadside collisions. The GranCabrio Foglore doesn't offer rear-seat side-impact airbags, only ones for front seat occupants.

The Continental GT has a standard Multi-collision Brake, which automatically applies the brakes in the event of a crash to help prevent secondary collisions and prevent further injuries. The GranCabrio Foglore doesn’t offer a post collision braking system: in the event of a collision that triggers the airbags, more collisions are possible without the protection of airbags that may have already deployed.

An active infrared night vision system optional on the Continental GT helps the driver to more easily detect people, animals or other objects in front of the vehicle at night. Using an infrared camera and near-infrared lights to detect heat, the system then displays the image on a monitor in the dashboard. The GranCabrio Foglore doesn’t offer a night vision system.

The Continental GT’s standard lane departure warning system alerts a temporarily inattentive driver when the vehicle begins to leave its lane and gently nudges the vehicle back towards its lane. A lane departure warning system costs extra on the GranCabrio Foglore.

The Continental GT has a standard blind spot warning system that uses sensors to alert the driver to objects in the vehicle’s blind spots where the side view mirrors don’t reveal them. A system to reveal vehicles in the GranCabrio Foglore’s blind spot costs extra.

To help make backing out of a parking space safer, the Continental GT has standard Reversing Traffic Warning and automatically engage the brakes. Maserati charges extra for Rear Cross Path on the GranCabrio Foglore and the GranCabrio Foglore’s Rear Cross Path does not include automatic braking.

Both the Continental GT and the GranCabrio Foglore have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights and rearview cameras.

The Continental GT comes with a full 3-year/unlimited-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The GranCabrio Foglore’s 50,000-mile basic warranty expires sooner.

The Continental GT’s corrosion warranty is unlimited miles longer than the GranCabrio Foglore’s (unlimited vs. 50,000 miles).

The Continental GT’s 4.0 turbo V8 hybrid produces 20 more horsepower (771 vs. 751) than the GranCabrio Foglore’s electric motors.

For better stopping power the Continental GT’s brake rotors are larger than those on the GranCabrio Foglore:

The Continental GT offers optional heat-treated ceramic brake rotors, which last ten to twenty times as long as conventional cast iron rotors, don’t rust, don’t fade during repeated high speed braking, and their lighter weight contribute to better braking, handling and acceleration. The GranCabrio Foglore doesn’t offer ceramic brake rotors.

For better traction, the Continental GT has larger tires than the GranCabrio Foglore (F:275/35R22 & R:315/30R22 vs. F:265/30R20 & R:295/30R21).

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Continental GT has standard 22-inch wheels. Only 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels are available on the GranCabrio Foglore.

The Continental GT offers an optional space-saver spare tire so you can replace a flat tire and drive to have the flat repaired or replaced. A spare tire isn’t available on the GranCabrio Foglore; it requires you to depend on roadside assistance and your vehicle will have to be towed.

The Continental GT has active sway bars, which help keep it flat and controlled during cornering, but disconnect at lower speeds to smooth the ride and offer greater off-road suspension articulation. This helps keep the tires glued to the road on-road and off. The GranCabrio Foglore doesn’t offer an active sway bar system.

The Continental GT offers an available adjustable active suspension system, which counteracts cornering forces actively, limiting body roll and improving handling and stability. Maserati doesn’t offer an active suspension on the GranCabrio Foglore.

For better maneuverability, the Continental GT’s turning circle is 3.6 feet tighter than the GranCabrio Foglore’s (37.1 feet vs. 40.7 feet).

The Continental GTC has a larger trunk with its top down than the GranCabrio Foglore with its top down (4.7 vs. 4 cubic feet).

With its coupe body style, valet key and remote trunk release lockout, the Continental GT offers cargo security. The GranCabrio Foglore’s non-lockable remote release defeats cargo security.

To make loading and unloading groceries and cargo easier when your hands are full, the Continental GT’s power trunk can be opened or closed just by kicking your foot under the back bumper, leaving your hands completely free. The GranCabrio Foglore doesn’t offer a power or hands-free opening trunk.

The Continental GT’s standard easy entry system raises the steering wheel and glides the driver’s seat back, making it easier for the driver to get in and out. The GranCabrio Foglore doesn’t offer an easy entry system.

The Continental GT’s standard power windows have a locking feature to keep children in the rear seat from operating them, but the driver can still raise and lower all of them with the lock engaged. Maserati does not offer a locking feature on the GranCabrio Foglore’s standard power windows.

If the windows are left open on the Continental GT the driver can close them all at the outside door handle. On a hot day the driver can also lower the windows the same way. The driver of the GranCabrio Foglore can only operate the windows from inside the vehicle, with the ignition on.

The Continental GT offers optional massaging front seats in order to maximize comfort and eliminate fatigue on long trips. Massaging seats aren’t available in the GranCabrio Foglore.

The Continental GT’s Intelligent Park Assist can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, starting, stopping and changing direction automatically. Remote Park Assist will park and retrieve your car remotely: press a button and watch it park itself. This is ideal for tight locations. The GranCabrio Foglore doesn’t offer an automated parking system.

The Bentley Continental GT comes in coupe and convertible bodystyles; the Maserati GranCabrio Foglore isn’t available as a coupe.
