The Flying Spur’s 275/35R22 front and 315/30R22 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 35 series front and 30 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Spectre’s standard 45 series front and 40 series rear tires. The Flying Spur’s tires are lower profile than the Spectre’s optional 40 series front and 35 series rear tires.

The Flying Spur’s front to rear weight distribution is more even (51.7% to 48.3%) than the Spectre’s (47% to 53%). This gives the Flying Spur more stable handling and braking.

The Flying Spur handles at .98 G’s, while the Spectre pulls only .90 G’s of cornering force in a Car and Driver skidpad test.
