In the past twenty years hundreds of infants and young children have died after being left in vehicles, usually by accident. When turning the vehicle off, drivers of the Q6 e-tron are reminded to check the back seat if they opened the rear door before starting out. The Polestar 2 doesn’t offer a back seat reminder.

Earlier warning of stopped traffic, traffic signals, dangerous road conditions, weather, or accidents, can keep driver's safer and prevent crashes. The Q6 e-tron has Car-to-X Services, a system that seamlessly communicates important warnings to the driver about impending danger, if they're available. The Polestar 2 doesn’t offer a system that can receive automated systems from infrastructure or other vehicles.

The Audi Q6 e-tron offers an optional Top View Cameras and it also offers an optional rear camera washer to make backing always safe, regardless of road dirt or grime, while the Polestar 2 doesn’t offer a camera washer, requiring manual cleaning.

Both the Q6 e-tron and the Polestar 2 have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, post-collision automatic braking systems, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning, driver alert monitors and available around view monitors.

There are almost 10 times as many Audi dealers as there are Polestar dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the Q6 e-tron’s warranty.

J.D. Power and Associates’ 2024 Initial Quality Study of new car owners surveyed provide the statistics that show that Audi vehicles are better in initial quality than Polestar vehicles. With 74 fewer problems per 100 vehicles, JD Power ranks Audi higher than Polestar.

The Q6 e-tron Premium Quattro’s optional electric motors produces 85 lbs.-ft. more torque (631 vs. 546) than the Polestar 2’s electric motors. The SQ6 e-tron Premium’s standard electric motors produces 33 more horsepower (509 vs. 476) and 85 lbs.-ft. more torque (631 vs. 546) than the Polestar 2’s electric motors.

On the EPA test cycle the Q6 e-tron gets better mileage than the Polestar 2:

The Q6 e-tron has a standard locking charge port which locks and unlocks with the power locks. The Polestar 2 doesn’t have a locking charge port. A locking charge port prevents tampering and damage.

The Q6 e-tron’s launch control uses engine electronics to hold engine RPM’s precisely in order to provide the most stable and rapid acceleration possible, using all of the available traction. The Polestar 2 doesn’t offer launch control.

For better traction, the Q6 e-tron’s optional tires are larger than the largest tires available on the Polestar 2 (F:255/50R20 & R:285/45R20 vs. 245/40R20).

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Q6 e-tron SQ6 offers optional 21-inch wheels. The Polestar 2’s largest wheels are only 20-inches.

Changing a flat tire near traffic can be dangerous and inconvenient. The run-flat tires available on the Q6 e-tron can be driven up to 50 miles without any air pressure, allowing you to drive to a service station for a repair. The Polestar 2 doesn’t offer run-flat tires.

The Q6 e-tron Prestige/SQ6 has a standard automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The Q6 e-tron’s height leveling suspension allows the driver to raise ride height for better off-road clearance and then lower it again for easier entering and exiting and better on-road handling. The Polestar 2 doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Q6 e-tron’s wheelbase is 6.1 inches longer than on the Polestar 2 (113.7 inches vs. 107.6 inches).

The Q6 e-tron has 4.1 inches more front shoulder room, 1.4 inches more rear headroom, 3.5 inches more rear legroom and 4.2 inches more rear shoulder room than the Polestar 2.

A standard locking glovebox (which can’t be accessed with the valet key) keeps your small valuables safer in the Q6 e-tron. The Polestar 2 doesn’t offer locking storage for small valuables.

The Q6 e-tron’s standard towing capacity is much higher than the Polestar 2’s (4409 vs. 2000 pounds).

The Q6 e-tron’s standard easy entry system raises the steering wheel, making it easier for the driver to get in and out. The Polestar 2 doesn’t offer an easy entry system.

The Q6 e-tron offers an optional heads-up display that projects speed and navigation instruction readouts in front of the driver’s line of sight, allowing drivers to view information without diverting their eyes from the road. The Polestar 2 doesn’t offer a heads-up display.

To improve rear visibility by keeping the rear window clear, the Q6 e-tron has a standard rear wiper. The Polestar 2 doesn’t offer a rear wiper.

The Polestar 2’s cornering lamps activate a lamp on the front corner when the turn signal is activated. The Q6 e-tron’s optional adaptive cornering lights turn the actual headlight unit up to several degrees, depending on steering wheel angle and vehicle speed. This lights a significant distance into corners at any speed.

To shield the driver and front passenger’s vision over a larger portion of the windshield and side windows, the Q6 e-tron has standard extendable sun visors. The Polestar 2 doesn’t offer extendable visors.

Manual rear side window sunshades are available in the Q6 e-tron to help block heat and glare for the rear passengers. The Polestar 2 doesn’t offer rear side window sunshades.

The Q6 e-tron SQ6 has standard massaging front seats in order to maximize comfort and eliminate fatigue on long trips. Massaging seats aren’t available in the Polestar 2.

The Q6 e-tron’s available automated parking system can parallel park by itself, starting, stopping and changing direction automatically. The Polestar 2’s automatic parking system requires operating the brakes and transmission to safely park.

The Q6 e-tron is available in both rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configurations. The Polestar 2 doesn’t offer a two-wheel drive configuration.
