The Q6 e-tron’s pre-crash front seatbelts will tighten automatically in the event the vehicle detects an impending crash, improving protection against injury significantly. The Optiq doesn’t offer pre-crash pretensioners.

Both the Q6 e-tron and Optiq have child safety locks to prevent children from opening the rear doors. The Q6 e-tron has power child safety locks, allowing the driver to activate and deactivate them from the driver's seat and to know when they're engaged. The Optiq’s child locks have to be individually engaged at each rear door with a manual switch. The driver can’t know the status of the locks without opening the doors and checking them.

The Q6 e-tron has a standard Secondary Collision Brake Assist, which automatically applies the brakes in the event of a crash to help prevent secondary collisions and prevent further injuries. The Optiq doesn’t offer a post collision braking system: in the event of a collision that triggers the airbags, more collisions are possible without the protection of airbags that may have already deployed.

Earlier warning of stopped traffic, traffic signals, dangerous road conditions, weather, or accidents, can keep driver's safer and prevent crashes. The Q6 e-tron has Car-to-X Services, a system that seamlessly communicates important warnings to the driver about impending danger, if they're available. The Optiq doesn’t offer a system that can receive automated systems from infrastructure or other vehicles.

Both the Q6 e-tron and the Optiq have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning, driver alert monitors and available around view monitors.

The Q6 e-tron’s corrosion warranty is 6 years longer than the Optiq’s (12 vs. 6 years).

From surveys of all its subscribers, Consumer Reports’ March 2025 Auto Issue reports that Audi vehicles are more reliable than Cadillac vehicles. Consumer Reports ranks Audi 14 places higher in reliability than Cadillac.

The Q6 e-tron’s standard electric motor produces 22 more horsepower (322 vs. 300) than the Optiq’s electric motors. The Q6 e-tron Premium Quattro’s optional electric motors produces 156 more horsepower (456 vs. 300) and 277 lbs.-ft. more torque (631 vs. 354) than the Optiq’s electric motors. The SQ6 e-tron Premium’s standard electric motors produces 209 more horsepower (509 vs. 300) and 277 lbs.-ft. more torque (631 vs. 354) than the Optiq’s electric motors.

The Q6 e-tron can travel longer on a full charge than the Optiq on a full charge:

The Q6 e-tron has a standard locking charge port which locks and unlocks with the power locks. The Optiq doesn’t have a locking charge port. A locking charge port prevents tampering and damage.

The Q6 e-tron’s launch control uses engine electronics to hold engine RPM’s precisely in order to provide the most stable and rapid acceleration possible, using all of the available traction. The Optiq doesn’t offer launch control.

For better traction and acceleration, the Q6 e-tron has larger standard rear tires than the Optiq (255/55R19 vs. 245/50R20). The Q6 e-tron’s optional rear tires are larger than the largest rear tires available on the Optiq (285/45R20 vs. 275/40R21).

The Q6 e-tron offers an available driver-adjustable suspension system. It allows the driver to choose between an extra-supple ride, reducing fatigue on long trips, or a sport setting, which allows maximum control for tricky roads or off-road. The Optiq’s suspension doesn’t offer adjustable shock absorbers.

The Q6 e-tron Prestige/SQ6 has a standard automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The Q6 e-tron’s height leveling suspension allows the driver to raise ride height for better off-road clearance and then lower it again for easier entering and exiting and better on-road handling. The Optiq doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.

The Audi Q6 e-tron may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs up to about 200 pounds less than the Cadillac Optiq.

The Q6 e-tron has 1.7 inches more front shoulder room and .8 inches more rear shoulder room than the Optiq.

The Q6 e-tron has a much larger cargo volume with its rear seat up than the Optiq with its rear seat up (30.2 vs. 26 cubic feet). The Q6 e-tron has a much larger cargo volume with its rear seat folded than the Optiq with its rear seat folded (60.2 vs. 57 cubic feet).

A standard locking glovebox (which can’t be accessed with the valet key) keeps your small valuables safer in the Q6 e-tron. The Optiq doesn’t offer locking storage for small valuables.

The Q6 e-tron’s standard towing capacity is much higher than the Optiq’s (4409 vs. 1500 pounds).

A maintenance reminder system is standard on the Q6 e-tron to save the owner time and money by calculating maintenance intervals for vehicle inspections, vehicle inspection based on odometer mileage. This takes the guesswork out of keeping your vehicle in top condition and helps it last longer. Cadillac doesn’t offer a maintenance reminder on the Optiq.

Heated windshield washer nozzles are standard on the Q6 e-tron to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. The Optiq doesn’t offer heated windshield washer nozzles.

To improve rear visibility by keeping the rear window clear, the Q6 e-tron has a standard rear wiper. The Optiq doesn’t offer a rear wiper.

In poor weather, headlights can lose their effectiveness as grime builds up on their lenses. This can reduce visibility without the driver realizing. The Q6 e-tron SQ6 has standard headlight washers to keep headlight output high. The Optiq doesn’t offer headlight washers.

The Optiq’s optional cornering lamps activate a lamp on the front corner when the turn signal is activated. The Q6 e-tron’s optional adaptive cornering lights turn the actual headlight unit up to several degrees, depending on steering wheel angle and vehicle speed. This lights a significant distance into corners at any speed.

The Q6 e-tron is available in both rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configurations. The Optiq doesn’t offer a two-wheel drive configuration.

The Audi Q6 outsold the Cadillac Optiq by over three to one during 2024.
